Offered for sale is this exceptionally well-preserved 1973 Triumph TR6, finished in striking Sapphire Blue (Paint Code 96) with a Shadow Blue interior (Interior Code 27). Showing only 39,645 documented original miles, this TR6 comes with an impressive history file, including service and parts receipts dating back to 1973 and mileage records starting at just 1,911 miles.
Believed to have been garaged throughout its life, this TR6 has primarily resided in Southern states and has been meticulously maintained. The engine is equipped with a Pertronix ignition – starts easily and runs well, with strong oil pressure. There is some hesitancy starting at 3,500 rpm, which smooths out once the car fully warms up and drives for about a mile. The carburetors will need adjustment based on your elevation. On the road, it delivers the stable, planted, and comfortable driving experience that makes the TR6 such a beloved classic.
The exterior has benefitted from an older bare metal repaint, which remains in excellent condition, presenting with deep gloss and strong shine. Minor chips, scratches, and paint cracks are present and documented in the gallery, but overall, the finish is highly presentable. The Shadow Blue interior is exceptionally clean and well-kept, with vinyl seats, door panels, and carpets free of rips or damage. The dash wood is excellent, the top dash pad is crack-free, and a handsome wood-rimmed steering wheel provides a tasteful upgrade. All gauges function properly.
Importantly, there are no rust issues and no evidence of past accident damage. The soft top is the original unit—functional and usable, but showing tears and blemishes consistent with age.
