This 2002 Lexus LS 430 was purchased from a long-time elderly couple who could no longer drive. Both owners averaged roughly 10,500 miles per year over the life of the car.
The exterior is finished in Millennium Silver Metallic (4P7). Panel gaps are excellent, the paint presents with good depth and shine, and while there are a few minor chips and scratches, they are only visible under close inspection. The Ivory/Tan interior (LK04) is exceptionally clean and well maintained with a few tiny blemishes. The car runs and drives flawlessly.
The first owner purchased the car new in late 2001 in Chatsworth, California and ran it as a personal lease vehicle. All service during this period was performed at Lexus of Beverly Hills, following the factory maintenance schedule throughout.
The second owner, the elderly couple, purchased the car in San Mateo, California in 2006 and drove it first to Saint George, Utah, and eventually to Las Vegas, Nevada, where it has been based since around 2020. At 120,862 miles in July 2023, the front struts and lower control arms were replaced along with the rear brake pads and rotors, a brake fluid flush, and a wheel alignment — significant suspension work that addressed the front end comprehensively.
AAA Las Vegas at 125,253 miles performed the following work, including spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, a coolant flush, replacement of both the upper and lower radiator hoses, evaporative emissions vent purge valve and solenoid replacement, brake fluid flush, induction system service, and power steering service — essentially a comprehensive mechanical refresh. At 127,623 miles in December 2024, the rear struts and shock absorbers were replaced, completing a full four-corner suspension refresh that had started with the front end in 2023. Spark plugs were replaced again at that same visit along with a transmission fluid flush and a fuel injection service. Within the last 1,000 miles, a new radiator and serpentine belt have been installed along with a fresh oil and filter change.
Two known minor issues: a small chip at the bottom of the windshield that is stable and no longer spreading, and the front passenger window which operates but can stop intermittently.
CARFAX does show two damage events. In October 2018 the car struck a parked vehicle, with minor damage to the left rear — airbags did not deploy. In October 2020 minor damage was reported to both the front and rear bumpers. Carfax describes the damage as parking lot incidents. All cosmetic damage has since been repaired.
Taken together, this is a well-preserved, low-use example of one of the most reliable luxury sedans ever built, with a recent and thorough mechanical investment. The new owner would be stepping into a car that has just had its suspension, cooling system, ignition components, and transmission fluid addressed — with Lexus dealer oversight throughout the recent period.
