This 1973 Triumph TR6 is a well-presented example that has benefited from extensive work performed under previous ownership. Service and refurbishment efforts included refinishing the exterior, reupholstering the seating surfaces, and replacing the black soft top and windshield. Additional work included replacement of various brake and steering components. The car is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and it is equipped with a matching top boot, 15″ steel wheels, a heater, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and an AM/FM stereo. This TR6 is offered with manufacturer’s literature and partial service records.
The car was originally delivered in Mallard Green (106) and was refinished during previous ownership. Exterior features include a replacement windshield, a black soft top, a chrome bullet-style mirror, and a trunk-mounted luggage rack. Various imperfections are visible and shown in the accompanying photos.
Painted 15″ steel wheels with polished trim rings are fitted with Michelin redline tires. The wheel bearings were repacked, and the brake components, tie rod ends, and tie rod dust boots were replaced in 2019.
The cabin features seats fitted with replacement foam cushions and reupholstered in black vinyl, with matching upholstery extending to the door panels. The dashboard is accented with replacement wood trim, and amenities include Triumph-logo floor mats, a heater, and an AM/FM stereo. A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows under 71k miles, approximately 6k of which were added during previous ownership.
Power comes from the TR6’s 2.5-liter inline-six, equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and factory rated at 106 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque. The carburetors were rebuilt in 2021. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, and the differential is said to have been replaced during previous ownership.
Supporting documentation includes numerous parts invoices from Victoria British / Long Motor Corporation (2018–2019), showing replacement of brake hydraulic components (master cylinder, front brake kit, new calipers), steering and suspension refresh parts (tie rod ends, rack boots, poly A-arm bushings, ball joints), wheel bearing kits, carburetor metering needles, and engine sealing components including an aluminum valve cover and gasket.
This Triumph is located at our location in Fontana, California and is sold with a clean title.
