1969 Lotus Europa – Early Claudius-Modified Example

According to the previous owner, this Europa is believed to be one of the first Lotus cars modified by Claudius of Los Angeles, a well-known Lotus specialist. It is an original California car, still retaining its classic blue plates.

The car has been parked since 1981 and remains largely complete and intact, making it an excellent candidate for a full, frame-off restoration. The frame is solid and structurally strong, despite the surface rust. Power comes from the original 1.6L Renault engine, upgraded with dual Weber carburetors.

Included with the car is a complete, excellent-condition Lotus Europa Workshop Manual, an invaluable resource for restoration. The Europa will be sold with a clear California title.

Please note: the windshield is missing entirely and will need to be sourced.
